I attended the Home Show in Halifax in the Spring and one of the new products that I had not seen before was ECO Home Solutions boiler jacket. Paul Brown did an excellent job explaining the heat saving advantages and it made good sense to me that if you could keep more heat in your furnace it would save on fuel consumption. I purchased The Boiler Jacket in April 09, I now have had it on my furnace for about 7 months, I have a Kerr Saturn Furnace made in Truro Nova Scotia, The Boiler jacket fit the boiler like a glove and I can honestly say I noticed a difference right away as to how often my furnace was coming on and off. I also noticed that the hot water was much hotter coming out of the taps, there was no waiting for it to warm up to a hot temperature. In the 7 months that I have had The Boiler Jacket on my boiler it has paid for itself because I have saved over 340 litres of oil in that short period of time.
I am completely satisfied with this product and it is another way of saving energy that is so simple and affordable. It is a no brainer for those who will take the time to investigate the product, buy it and see the results.

Another thing I liked about it is the fact that it is made in Prince Edward Island. I had a Boiler Jacket Kit installed on my hot water boiler in October 2007. The door to the Boiler room used to be left open so that the heat could spread over the rest of the basement. This is the room where we have our exercising equipment and it would be too hot to work out! Now the room is cool and you are better able to exercise. The best part is the oil consumption. From September 2006 to September 2007, I used 2,847 liters of oil and from September 2007 to September 2008 I used 2,104 liters of oil. A savings of over 740 liters. I am extremely pleased with the savings and highly recommend the Boiler Jacket Kit to everyone! I wish it had been installed years ago!

We had the Boiler Jacket (Hot Water Boiler Insulation Kit) installed on our hot water boiler in October 2007. Since having done so we noticed the furnace does not come on nearly as often when the heat is not called for. We do not have to open the window in the furnace room to cool it down. From October 2006 to October 2007 we burned 3759 liters. From October 2007 to October 2008 we burned 3145 liters. A saving of 610 liters even though the Winter was longer, more windy and had several more colder days than the previous winter. Burning less oil is also putting less emissions into the environment. We are very happy with the results the Boiler Jacket Kit has given and highly recommend the product.

I had the Boiler Jacket Kit put on my boiler in March 2008. Up till November 2008 I have already saved over 500 liters of heating oil. I am very pleased with the results and it has already paid for itself in less than one year. My furnace room was always the hottest room in the house and now it is the same temperature as the rest of the house. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

I have a passive solar house with a wall of south facing triple glazed windows, R2000 insulation, programmable thermostats and a wood stove, so my furnace spends a great deal of time in standby mode. The Boiler Jacket has reduced the time my furnace comes on at least by half. For instance it used to come on two or three times a night just to keep the water warm and now it only comes on once at the most. I have not calculated my savings yet but I feel they will be substantial.
