In order to have hot water at anytime, the boiler/furnace has to maintain a certain temperature. Therefore, it runs throughout the day and night even when there is no hot water being used or providing heat for your home. This is called “stand-by heat loss”. The term “stand-by heat loss” is the heat lost and energy wasted by the process of heating water. “The boiler Jacket™” has proven a reduction in your heat lost and energy wasted by over 56%.
The Boiler Jacket™ (Hot Water Boiler/Furnace Insulation Kit) completely encloses the hot water boiler/furnace reducing the heat from uncontrollably leaking out of it. The Boiler jacket™ will reduce your yearly heating oil consumption by up to 700 liters per year!
What does The Boiler Jacket™ Kit consist of?
The Boiler Jacket™ (Hot Water Boiler/Furnace Insulation Kit) consists of commercial standard materials that are fire retardant and ULC rated . The Boiler Jacket™ kits consists of the following materials:
- ET Board Commercial Standards Hot Water Boiler/Furnace insulation
Is a lightweight insulation made from inorganic glass fibers bonded with a high-temperature thermosetting resin. It has a temperature limitation up to 850°F (454°C) and is ULC rated. - ET Blanket Commercial Standards Hot Water Boiler/Furnace insulation
Is a lightweight thermal insulation blanket made from highly resilient inorganic glass fibers bonded by a high-temperature thermosetting resin. It has a temperature limitation up to
1000°F (538°C) and is ULC rated. - Self sealing polyethylene pipe, tee and elbow insulation
Are specially formulated flame retarded closed cell foamed polyolefin tubing with excellent thermal insulating capabilities. It has an upper use limit of 210°F (99°C) constant. - CW Aluminum Foil Acrylic Adhesive Tape
A 1.5 mil dead soft aluminum foil coated with an aggressive high/low temperature acrylic adhesive system. It has a temperature resistance to 250°F (121°C) and is ULC rated. - Polyethylene Film Tape
A transparent polyethylene backing with a long aging transparent acrylic adhesive. It has an upper use limit of 170°F (77°C).

Will I need special tools to install The Boiler Jacket™?
The only tools required to install The Boiler Jacket™ are a pair of scissors, measuring tape and a utility knife.
What time of year should I install it?
The Boiler Jacket™ can be installed any time of year. Once The Boiler Jacket™ is installed, it immediately reduces your stand-by heat loss. It is not a seasonal product. Heating your home and domestic hot water are the largest energy consumption in most households. The Boiler Jacket™ reduces your heating oil consumption, electricity, up to 2 tons of pollution (including green house gases) going into the atmosphere thus reducing your carbon footprint.
